Nun ja, zugegebener Maßen einen echten DDR Hund gab es natürlich nicht. Egal ob Dackel, Pudel oder Schäferhund, die meisten… wenn auch nicht alle Hunderassen gab es in der DDR wie anderswo auch.

Dennoch gab es tatsächlich einen absoluten „Ostblock“ Hund, den Bolonka Zwetna.

Diese aus Russland stammende Hunderasse ist bis heute vom FCI nicht anerkannt. Der Bolonka Zwetna wurde vor über hundert Jahren nur in Russland bzw. später in der ehemaligen Sowjetunion gehalten. Der Name Bolonka Zwetna bedeutet “farbiges Schoßhündchen“.

Durch die Verbindung des zaristischen Russlands mit dem französischen Adel kam es zwangsläufig auch in Russland zur Verbreitung einiger der beliebten Schoßhündchen der französischen Damen, dem Bichon Frisé. Da es an weiten Importen dieser Hunderasse fehlte, bildete sich nach und nach durch Inzucht eine abweichende neue Hunderasse, der Bolonka franzuska. (more…)

Beide Firmen existierten auch schon lange bevor es die DDR gab.

In der DDR gab es zwei große Handelsketten, die Konsumgenossenschaft, im Volksmud “Konsum” und die Handelsorganisation (HO). Zu beiden Organisationen gehörten neben Verkaufsstellen auch Gaststätten. Größere Geschäfte wie Kaufhallen (Supermarkt) wurden ebenfalls von beiden Organisationen betrieben.

Das einzige Rabattsystem der DDR hatte der “Konsum”.
Zu jedem Einkauf in einem “Konsum-Geschäft” erhielt man als Mitglied “Konsum Marken”, diese wurden dann am Jahresende vergütet. In fast jedem DDR Haushalt gab es mindestens ein Mitglied der Konsumgenossenschaft.

Auf die Zigarettenpreise in der dahmaligen DDR können heutige Raucher nur mit Wehmut schauen. Eine 20er Packung Filterlose Zigaretten gab es schon für 1.60 Mark, Filterzigaretten bekam man ab 2,50 Mark. Duett war die einzige Sorte im 100er Format und mit 6,- Mark die teuerste Zigarette aus DDR Produktion. Mit 7 und 8,- Mark waren auch einige westliche Zigarettensorten im normalen Handel erhältlich. In Ost Berlin war die Cabinet für 3,20 Mark wohl die meist gerauchte Sorte, im Rest der Republik war es die F6, das lag nicht an den unterschiedlichen Geschmäckern, die Ursache lag eher in der Verteilung der Konsumgüter, denn bevorzugt wurde die Hauptstadt versorgt. Bereits im August 1945 startete in West Berlin eine Stadtlotterie um den Wiederaufbau zu fördern. Im gleichen Jahr begann in der sowjetischen Besatzungszone die sächsische Landeslotterie.

Anfang 1953 wurde in Ost Berlin das Zahlenlotto 5 aus 90 eingeführt. Ab 1954 folgten weitere die Spielarten 5 aus 45 und 6 aus 49. Ab 1972 folgte dann das beliebte Tele-Lotto 5 aus 35. Jeden Sonntag gab es zur Tele-Lotto Ziehung eine 20 minütige Fernsehshow.
